Management Review Kit
Management review, formalized and standardized: the standard, the calendar, the input pack, agenda, minutes, action register and a one-slide summary.
Start with the handbook: it sets out the workflow, who does what, the weekly rhythm, a 30-day setup plan and one worked example that runs through every tool below.
The kit, step by step
Each tool is free on its own page, with its own worked example from the same story.

Template · AQL-F01Management Review Standard
A procedure template for management review that you adopt and edit: who attends, how often, every input and its owner, how the review is prepared, run and minuted, and how each decision is followed to closure.
- 2
Workbook · AQL-F02Management Review Calendar and Input Owner Matrix
Set the year's management reviews once, give every input an owner, a backup and a due date that works itself out, and see at a glance which inputs are in, late or missing.
- 3
Workbook · AQL-F03Management Review Input Data Pack
Every management review input on its own tab, with four quarters of trend, a front Summary that states the decision each input needs, and an index that tells an auditor where every record is.
- 4
Template · AQL-F04Management Review Agenda
An agenda in input order where every item has a time box, a presenter, the record being presented and the decision management is asked to make.
- 5
Template · AQL-F05Management Review Minutes, Decisions and Outputs Record
Minutes that record what management concluded and decided, not just what was discussed: every input with its conclusion, every output with an owner and a date, and the chair's signature.
- 6
Workbook · AQL-F06Management Review Action Register
Every decision and action from your management reviews in one place: owner, due date, the evidence it was done, and a verification that it worked, with aging and a Summary for the next review.
- 7

The quality system on one slide for top management: six figures with their direction, and the decisions the review needs from them.
- 8
Workbook · AQL-F08Quality Performance Dashboard
Twelve quality measures on one scorecard, worked out from plain monthly counts: the latest month, the last three and twelve months, the status against your target and the direction of travel.
- 9

Every quality objective with its measure, target, owner, resources, action plan and quarterly results; every KPI defined once with its source and where it is reviewed; and a summary that shows what is off track and what has no plan.
- 10
Workbook · AQL-F13Risks and Opportunities Register
One register for the quality system's risks and opportunities: each written as 'if ... then ...', rated on scales you set, treated with an owned action, re-rated afterward and checked, with a heat map and a summary for management review.
- 11

The IA9100 transition in ten minutes for top management: what is published, where we stand, the plan, the risks and the decisions we need.

The problem it solves
In many small aerospace shops management review is a meeting held because the standard asks for one: scheduled when an audit is near, fed by slides assembled the night before, run as a series of report-outs, and minuted as discussion. Inputs go missing, nothing is decided, and the actions that are written down are rediscovered at the next review. Auditors find it, but the bigger cost is that the one meeting where top management is supposed to steer the quality system steers nothing. This handbook is the operating manual for the Management Review Kit. It sets out the whole cycle, from the year's calendar to the verification of the last action, who does what, which tool to use at each step, how to run the meeting so it decides, and how to set it up in thirty days.
Who uses it
Quality directors and quality managers who own the management review, and the general manager or plant manager who chairs it.
When
When you write or rewrite your management review process; when your reviews produce discussion instead of decisions; after an audit finding on management review; or a quarter before your next review.
