Outputs and the action register

Every review produces outputs of four kinds: improvements, changes to the quality system, resource needs and actions on risks and opportunities. The action register (AQL-F06) keeps every output from every review in one list, with one owner, a due date, the evidence it was done, and a verification by someone other than the owner that it worked. Its State column reads Open, Due within 30 days, Overdue, Done: verify, Closed: verified, Not effective: reopen or Canceled.

Writing an action someone could check

'Improve supplier delivery' can't be verified. 'Qualify a second anodize source, with first articles on three part numbers, by January 29' can. Rewrite vague actions in the meeting, before anyone leaves.

Re-dating

Owners can ask for more time; only the review or its chair grants it, and the reason is recorded. The register keeps the first due date beside the revised one. An action re-dated twice comes back to the next review as a decision, not an update.
