Careers · Two founding places
Founding Sales Representative. Commission only, paid from the first call.
Call the quality leaders at aerospace and automotive supplier plants, find the ones with an audit coming up, and book them a 15-minute call with James, our founder. You earn on every qualified call that happens, and again on every Pack that sells.
What you earn
Paid when the call happens, and again when it sells.
Founding terms for the first two reps, locked for 12 months.
Every qualified fit call held
$150
A 15-minute call with James and the person who owns audit prep, at a plant with an audit or customer review within six months.
Every Pack that sells
20% or 30% when you close it
On each Audit Defense Pack signed within 90 days of a call you booked. On a $3,500 founding Pack that is $700, or $1,050 when you close it. On a $5,000 Pack, $1,000 or $1,500.
Subscriptions that follow
10% of year one
When a plant you brought in subscribes within 90 days of its Pack.
Founding rep perks
35% after your 10th Pack
Your own territory, terms locked for 12 months, and a higher rate once you have proven the market.
| What you did | You earn |
|---|---|
| 12 qualified fit calls held × $150 | $1,800 |
| 1 Pack sold from your calls × 20% of $5,000 | $1,000 |
| 1 Pack you closed yourself × 30% of $5,000 | $1,500 |
| Month total | $4,300 |
James confirms within one business day whether each call qualified, and tells you why if it didn’t. Fit-call payments are made monthly. Pack and subscription commissions are paid from cash collected, after the client’s refund window closes. All terms are set out in the written independent contractor agreement.
The role
What you’ll do
- Call researched accounts by phone: plants with a certificate renewal coming up, a new quality manager or another public signal. Each comes with a one-page brief.
- Reach the person who owns audit preparation and ask one question: when is your next audit, and who builds the evidence for it?
- Book qualified plants into a 15-minute fit call with James, and report the calls you book and what you heard.
- Follow up, and if you want the higher rate, take the deal through to signature.
You
Who we’re looking for
- You have sold to manufacturers, or you have worked inside their quality systems as an engineer, auditor or consultant.
- AS9100D or IATF 16949 is a language you speak, or can learn fast.
- You are comfortable on the phone with plant managers and quality leaders, and you can hear a real buying signal.
- You work independently, keep honest records and say only what is true.
What you get from us
Everything you need to have a real conversation.
Researched accounts
Screened lists with the signal, the person to ask for and the main line, refreshed every week.
A product you can show
Sample reports and a five-minute demo for each product, built on a sample plant, so the plant sees exactly what it gets.
The founder on every call
You book it, James runs the fit call, and you hear how it went the same day.
Questions
Before you apply
Is this a job or a contract?
An independent contractor role, commission only, under a written agreement. You set your own hours and work from wherever you are in the US.
What exactly is a qualified fit call?
A 15-minute call held with James and the person who owns AS9100D or IATF 16949 audit preparation at the plant, where the plant has an audit or customer review within the next six months. You book it, and it counts once it is held. James confirms within one business day whether it qualified. If the plant doesn’t show up, or the person turns out not to own audit prep, the call doesn’t count. If James misses or moves a call, you are paid for it anyway.
Do I close deals or only book calls?
Both paths pay. Most founding reps start by booking calls and James closes. If you take a deal through to signature yourself, your commission on that Pack rises from 20% to 30%.
When do I get paid?
Monthly, for the fit calls held in the month before. Pack and subscription commissions are paid from cash we collect, after the client’s refund window closes.
Where do the leads come from?
We give you researched accounts: plants with a certificate renewal coming up, a new quality manager or another public signal, each screened before you get it, with a one-page call brief. You can add your own accounts once we agree they fit.
What will I be selling?
The Audit Defense Pack: a clause-by-clause readiness report, a ranked action plan with an owner on each fix, and the auditor’s checklist, built from the records a plant already keeps, within five business days of complete data. AS9100D (Aegis AeroAssure) and IATF 16949 (Aegis AutoAssure).
What are the rules on the phone?
Manual calls to business lines only. No autodialers, no prerecorded or AI voicemails, no texts without consent. Only the claims and prices we publish; never an audit-outcome promise. Every list is screened before you see it and some companies are off-limits.
Do I need a quality background?
It helps a lot. Plant quality managers can tell in one sentence whether you know their world. Sales experience with manufacturers, or time as a quality engineer, auditor or consultant, is what we are looking for.
How many reps are you hiring?
Two founding reps, one for the East and one for the West, with founding terms locked for 12 months.
Where does East end and West begin?
East covers plants in the Eastern and Central time zones, and West covers the Mountain, Pacific, Alaska and Hawaii time zones. A plant’s territory is set by its own address, not its parent company’s.
What if someone else is already working a plant?
Every brief is checked before you get it, so it only lists plants nobody else holds. Plants registered by one of our consulting partners, or already in a conversation with us, are left out. If two people still book the same plant, the first call held counts.
What do I pay for, and what do you provide?
You use your own phone, computer and internet. We provide the account briefs, the sample reports, the demo and a shared sheet for reporting the calls you book.
Can I sell other products too?
Yes. You can represent other companies, as long as they don’t compete with Aegis. You decide how and when you work.
Apply in one email
Send your LinkedIn profile, the territory you want (East or West), and three lines on who you have sold to or worked with in manufacturing quality. James replies to every application personally.
Aegis Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity company. This is an independent contractor engagement on commission; it is not employment. Terms are set out in the written agreement, which governs.
