The Management Review Kit HandbookChapter 6 of 23

The calendar and the input owners

The calendar and input owner matrix (AQL-F02) does two jobs. The Calendar holds the year's reviews: enter the meeting date and the lead times, and the inputs due date, the date the pack goes out and the date the minutes are due work themselves out in working days, skipping the plant's holidays. The Input owner matrix holds one line per input: what to bring, the owner, a backup, the source record, the data pack tab, and a status that says whether it is in on time, in late, overdue or due within five days.

  1. In January, set every date for the year with the chair, and send the invitations the same day.
  2. Put the plant's holidays and shutdown weeks on the holidays tab, so the January review's due dates don't fall in the shutdown.
  3. Name an owner and a backup for every input. Owners by role live in the standard; the people live here.
  4. A week before each inputs due date, read the Summary and send reminders for anything due within five days.
  5. As inputs arrive, enter the date and who checked it against its source.
  6. After the review, enter the held-on date and the date the minutes were issued.
