The Input Data Pack (AQL-F03) gives every input the same small table: the measure, how it is counted, whether higher or lower is better, the target, four quarters and the trend, worked out for you. A Summary pulls each input's headline measure onto one page, beside a sentence from the input owner and the decision the quality manager says management needs to make. A Record index tells an auditor where each record behind the numbers is kept.
Where the numbers come from
Most of the pack can be filled from tools you run every month. The Quality Performance Dashboard (AQL-F08) holds customer, conformity, corrective action, supplier and delivery measures with the quarter's figure already added up from the months. The Quality Objectives and KPI Register (AQL-F10) holds the objectives with their quarterly results. The Risks and Opportunities Register (AQL-F13) holds the high risks, the actions and whether they worked. The CAPA aging dashboard (AQL-B09) holds open, overdue and shown effective.
Before the pack goes out
- Every input tab is filled, or the gap is named on the Summary with the reason.9.3.2
- Each measure is counted the way its definition says, the same as last quarter.9.1.3
- Figures that appear on two tabs match (delivery on Objectives and Delivery, for example).
- Each comment names what is behind the trend: the part, supplier, machine or shift.
- Every input has a decision sought, including 'None needed'.9.3.3
- The chair has seen the decisions sought, five working days before.9.3.1
- The Record index points to the record behind every input.7.5.3
