Quality Performance Kit
The few measures that matter, a dashboard that reads in a minute, the cost of poor quality, and a recovery report leadership will act on.
Start with the handbook: it sets out the workflow, who does what, the weekly rhythm, a 30-day setup plan and one worked example that runs through every tool below.
The kit, step by step
Each tool is free on its own page, with its own worked example from the same story.
- 1
Workbook · AQL-F08Quality Performance Dashboard
Twelve quality measures on one scorecard, worked out from plain monthly counts: the latest month, the last three and twelve months, the status against your target and the direction of travel.
- 2
Workbook · AQL-F09NCR Trend Analysis Spreadsheet
Turn a plain NCR log into a monthly trend with control limits, Paretos by defect, cause and operation, counts by part, and a one-page summary of what changed and where to look.
- 3
Workbook · AQL-F10Quality Objectives and KPI Register
Every quality objective with its measure, target, owner, resources, action plan and quarterly results; every KPI defined once with its source and where it is reviewed; and a summary that shows what is off track and what has no plan.
- 4
Workbook · AQL-F11Cost of Poor Quality Worksheet
Put a dollar figure on quality: prevention, appraisal, internal failure and external failure, month by month and as a share of sales, with the largest elements named and a one-page improvement case with its payback.
- 5
Deck · AQL-F12Executive Quality Recovery Report
Eight slides that tell executives, yours or a customer's, where a quality recovery stands: what happened, how the customer is protected, the cause, the plan, the evidence it is working, the risks and the decisions needed.
- 6
Workbook · AQL-A03Audit Readiness Command Center
One front page for audit readiness: open findings, corrective actions, calibration, supplier concerns, training, documents, risk assessments and the audit calendar, counted from nine simple registers, with a 30/60/90-day plan to act on what it shows.
- 7
Workbook · AQL-B09Corrective Action Aging and Program Health Dashboard
See at a glance how many corrective actions are open, how old they are, which are late, where they are stuck and how many of the closed ones were shown to work, from one plain CAPA log.
- 8
Workbook · AQL-B16Customer Scorecard and Escape Tracker
How each customer sees you, month by month: their ratings and status next to your own PPM, on-time delivery and complaints, and every escape with where it got through and why, so a falling rating or a repeating escape route shows before the customer raises it.

The problem it solves
Most small aerospace shops have plenty of quality data and very little quality information. Delivery is in the ERP, NCRs in a log, the customer's rating in a portal, corrective actions in a spreadsheet, scrap cost in finance's monthly report. Each is looked at alone, if at all; percentages are averaged when they should be added up; a bad month triggers a corrective action and a quiet, steady decline goes unnoticed until a customer's scorecard shows it. This handbook is the operating manual for the Quality Performance Kit. It sets out one monthly cycle, from counts to decisions, the people who run it, which tool to use at each step, how to read what the numbers say, and how to set the whole thing up in thirty days with what you already have.
Who uses it
Quality directors and quality managers who report quality performance, and the general managers and plant managers who use it to run the business.
When
When your monthly quality report is a pile of charts that leads to no decisions; when a customer's scorecard surprised you; when you take over a quality function; or a quarter before management review has to show trends and objectives it doesn't have yet.
