| Week | Do | Tools | Done when |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Agree the roles and the meeting date with the general manager. Choose the headline measures; write each definition, owner and source on the KPI register. Agree cost elements and hourly rates with finance. | F10, F11 | KPI register complete; first meeting booked |
| 2 | Load twelve months of counts into the dashboard's Monthly data from the source systems. Load the year's NCRs and classify them; where the cause can't be recovered, use Not yet known. | F08, F09 | Record checks clear; twelve months on the scorecard |
| 3 | Set targets and watch limits from the customer, the objectives or the baseline. Write the year's objectives with their plans. Enter the last quarter's quality costs. | F08, F10, F11 | Every measure has a target; Planning gaps clear |
| 4 | Hold the first monthly quality meeting on the agenda in chapter 14. Pick one problem from the cause Pareto and write its improvement case. | F08, F09, F11, B09, A03 | Owners and actions on every off-target line; one case decided |
You will not have perfect data in week two, and you don't need it. Twelve months loaded with honest gaps, marked as such, tell you more than three months of perfect data. Fix the definitions as you find the problems, and note on the KPI register when each one changed.
