The problem it solves

Supplier reviews tend to be either a one-way scolding about late lines or a friendly lunch with no numbers. Neither changes anything. The supplier's management rarely sees the scorecard, never hears what is coming, and is never asked what the customer does that makes its job harder. This template runs a one-hour review in nine slides: the quarter's figures and their trend, quality and delivery in detail, the supplier's own view, the forecast and changes ahead, and actions owned by both sides, ending with where the supplier stands.

Who uses it

Supplier quality engineers and buyers, who prepare and run it, with the supplier's general manager and quality lead, and your operations or plant manager for key suppliers.

When

Quarterly for High-risk and key suppliers, twice a year for Medium, yearly for Low; and at each gate of a recovery plan (AQL-C12).
