The self-check says where you stand. Five tools turn it into a plan someone can approve, resource and check.
The planning matrix (AQL-H02)
The center of the package. Thirty lines, one per change item, each already listed with its AS9100D clause today. For each: write where it lives in your system (the procedure, form or record), then where you stand, the work, its size, its band (Do now, Plan it, Hold for the final text), the owner, the window and the record that will show it done. The Next step column tells you what each line needs; the Summary tab counts the plan by band, window and theme.
The impact assessment (AQL-H08)
Rates what each change touches in six areas (processes, documents, people, suppliers, IT and data, customers and product) on a plain None to High scale, with the effort and the outside cost. The overall impact is simply the highest area rating. For each High, write a one-change brief: what it touches, today, two options, the cost and the decision. Briefs are what management approves money against.
The risk register (AQL-H04)
The risks to the transition itself: timing, capacity, suppliers, records, IT, money, the registrar. Rated likelihood times impact against thresholds you set (High from 15 and Medium from 6 by default), with an owner, a response, an early warning sign and a review date. Fourteen starter risks are listed for you to rate.
The document review planner (AQL-H05)
Every controlled document read against the themes, with a decision for each: Change now, Hold for the final text, Decide with the final text, or No change; then tracked through drafting, review, issue and the briefing of its users. It records the AS9100D clauses each document cites, so renumbering in the final text becomes a search, not a reread.
The training needs assessment (AQL-H06)
Who needs to know or do what, how deep (awareness, working knowledge, skill), by what method, in which window, and how you will know it worked, with the total hours for management. Sixteen starter needs are listed by role.

IA9100 draft: based on the IAQG's published changes. IA9100 is not yet final, and the final text may change these topics and clause numbers.
A management aid, not certification or a registrar audit. Using it does not by itself show conformity to AS9100D or any other standard, and your customers' requirements may add to it.
Clause numbers refer to AS9100D (SAE AS9100 Rev D) unless another document is named. The standards' text is not reproduced here: use your own licensed copy.
Aegis Insights are our own guidance, labeled wherever they appear: how we approach this work, not a requirement of any standard or customer.
