Supplier Concentration Risk Assessment

See how much of your business rests on a few suppliers: share of spend, part numbers with no alternate, revenue that depends on each source, time to replace it, and the sub-tier sources your suppliers quietly share.

The problem it solves

Most supply risk reviews rank suppliers by spend, and the risky ones are often not near the top. A $300,000 anodizer can touch 60 percent of what you ship; two approved machining suppliers can send their heat treat to the same shop; a forging die can take nine months to duplicate. None of that shows in a spend report. This workbook looks at concentration five ways (share of spend, part numbers with no qualified alternate, share of revenue using the supplier's parts, weeks to qualify an alternate, and shared sub-tier or material sources), counts the flags against thresholds you set, shows concentration by commodity, and tracks the mitigation.
