Gage R&R Study Data Sheet
Run a gauge repeatability and reproducibility study by the average and range method: up to three operators, three trials and ten parts, with every result, the published constants and the verdict worked out for you.

The problem it solves
A calibration certificate shows the gauge reads true on a gauge block in a lab. It does not show whether two inspectors get the same answer on a real part at the machine, or whether the gauge can tell good parts from bad on a tight tolerance. That is what a gauge study answers, and auditors and customers ask for one behind every capability number and key characteristic. Most shops either skip it or run it in a spreadsheet nobody can check. This data sheet lays out the study, does the arithmetic of the average and range method with the published constants, and records the decision.
Who uses it
Quality engineers and metrology or calibration staff; the operators and inspectors who take part.
When
Before a gauge is used on a key characteristic or a capability study; after a gauge is repaired, replaced or found out of tolerance; when a customer's measurement system requirement calls for one; and on the interval your MSA plan sets.
Free to use, change and copy, in your own organization or with your clients; add your own logo, keep the Aegis credit. Part of: Calibration Control Kit. Clause references: 7.1.5, 7.1.5.1 (with 8.5.1 and 9.1.1) (numbers only; use your own licensed copy of the standard).
A management aid, not certification or a registrar audit. Using it does not by itself show conformity to AS9100D or any other standard.
