The Internal Audit Execution Kit HandbookChapter 9 of 19

The report

Write the report from the checklist (A11) and issue it within ten working days of the audit. Write the conclusion first: is the process effective, and what most needs attention? Then the findings in summary and in full, what works well, the follow-up of earlier findings, and the samples examined, so a registrar reading it can see what the audit actually looked at. Record the issue date on the A06 schedule; the schedule flags any report still missing after 14 days.
