The problem it solves

The self-check tells you where you stand. The general manager's next question is what it will take, who does it and when. Without a plan the answers live in the quality manager's head, the work starts and stops between audits, and when the final text is published the shop starts from a blank page. This matrix lists the thirty changes the IAQG's published summaries describe, shows where each sits in AS9100D today, and turns your answers into a banded, owned plan timed against the month the final text is published, so you are revising a list you already have instead of starting again.

Who uses it

Quality directors and quality managers who own the transition, with the plant manager who approves the plan and the owners who carry the work.

When

Once now, after the self-check (AQL-H01); monthly while you work it; at each management review; and in full within the first two months after the final IA9100 text is published.
