The problem it solves
Internal auditors are the people best placed to find transition gaps early, because they already sample the records the IA9100 draft themes depend on. But they face two traps. One is to ignore the transition until the final text arrives, and then audit everything in a hurry. The other is to write nonconformities against draft wording that is not yet a requirement, which confuses the corrective action system and weakens the auditor's credibility. This guide shows how to fold the themes into the audits you already plan: what to sample for each theme, what to ask, how to record a transition observation apart from an AS9100D finding, and how to plan the full audit against the final text before the registrar's transition audit.
