Our Commitment

Aegis Technologies Inc. is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.

 

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Aegis Technologies websites and platforms are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

  • JavaScript (Progressive enhancement approach - core functionality works without JS)

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions:

Third-Party Content

  • Issue: Some third-party embedded content (videos, maps, social media feeds) may not be fully accessible

  • Solution: We provide alternative ways to access the same information where possible

PDF Documents

  • Issue: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible

  • Solution: We are working to remediate legacy PDFs and provide HTML alternatives. Contact us for accessible versions.

Complex Data Visualizations

  • Issue: Some charts and graphs in our analytics platforms may be challenging for screen reader users

  • Solution: We provide data tables as alternatives to visual charts and are implementing enhanced ARIA descriptions

Legacy Features

  • Issue: Some older features built before our accessibility commitment may not meet current standards

  • Solution: We are actively remediating these features on a priority basis
